About Us

The Medicine Hat & District Chamber of Commerce was founded on May 28, 1900 under the Boards of Trade Act. Since that time, this member based organization has been the voice of the business community and has always stood for promoting business, monitoring government and championing managed growth in the local economy. We are proud to represent over 800 businesses in our region and continue to expand our network. We are aligned with both the Alberta Chambers of Commerce (ACC), which represents over 25,000 businesses and the Canadian Chambers of Commerce (CCC), which represents over 200,000 businesses. With the largest and most influential business organizations locally, provincially and federally, the Chamber network can work together to shape policy that will make a difference to businesses in our region.

Our mission is to stimulate a strengthened and vibrant economy in our region through our connections, support and influence. As community leaders we will connect our business community by building business networks, partnering for professional development and delivering high calibre events focused on business recognition, regulatory and government impact, and networking. We will support our business community by championing growth in our local economy, promoting our members, providing business solutions and cost savings and by informing our community of relevant business information. We will influence influence policy makers by monitoring government and helping to create a competitive business climate through advocating for the best interests of our members.
